ECFC WPSL to play in Shoreline, GoalWA.net article
SHORELINE, WA.— Emerald City Football Club of the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) will play their league home matches at Woolsey Stadium (artificial surface) on the campus of Kings High School in Shoreline this spring and summer. Last year the club played at Interbay Stadium in Magnolia, just north of downtown Seattle.
This is just one of the updates sent to goalWA by head coach Niki Taylor, who is also the commissioner of the Northwest Division in the WPSL.
Emerald City debuted in the league last season and were instantly very difficult to beat. The club amassed a number of draws that eventually saw them just miss out on the playoffs. Now a core group of players is set to join a larger contingent in hopes of taking that next post-season step.
Taylor tells goalWA.net that 25 players are lined up thus far. Ten of those are returners who contributed significant minutes in 2012.
